Arthub featured at ShContemporary

Upon the offer of ShContemporary, Arthub created a “tiny hospitality center” to host informal gatherings and book presentations at this year’s Art Fair.

Itinerary for the weekend

September 10-12, 2008:

Shanghai Detour a collaborative map + free art ride, providing access to more than 30 galleries, museums, and independent art spaces in Shanghai through 3 individually customized shuttle rides to/from the fair.

September 10th, 2:00 – Zhao Chuan, an art historian from Shanghai, talks about his 
book on the Birth of Avantgarde in Shanghai.

September 11th, 2:00 – Shanghai-based Curator Biljana Ciric launches and talks about her 
book Rejected Collection with CHARTA.

September 12th, 2:00 – Birdhead (artists Song Tao and Ji Weiyu) will be on site to sign 
their limited-edition books.

September 13th, 2:00 
- Pippa Dennis presents the program for Asia Art Forum, an 
educational initiative for young collectors, art professionals and 
enthusiasts. AAF will provide a unique opportunity to understand the 
emergence and historical development of Chinese contemporary art, as 
well as issues pertaining to the complexities of the 
Chinese art market.

During the fair, ArtHub’s booth will host a series of performances by Ciboh, a three-girl-collective (Silvia Barna, Natascia Fenoglio and Alessandra Pallotta) founded in 2003 in Milan, fusing art, design and daily life.

The booth is designed by Dedo Design.

There will also be a preview of Arthub Accessories to support Arthub’s initiatives, a line of objects created in co-operation with Chinese artists.
