Open Call for Ferme-Asile’s Residency in Switzerland
Ferme-Asile’s ‘Appart’Atelier’ Offers Two Artistic Residencies in Sion, Switzerland
Deadline: The competition is open from October 19 until December 23, 2015. The decision will be announced in February, 2016.
The Ferme-Asile will welcome for 3 months, from June 1st until August 31st, 2016, a professional artist working in the field of visual arts and accustomed to creating in outdoor public spaces.
A second open call welcomes for 2 months, from November 1st until December 31st, 2016, a professional artist working in the field of visual arts.
Artists will be provided with a 45m2 apartment and a 36m2 workshop. The Swiss Canton of Valais is offering a bursary of 1,500 CHF per month.
An artistic event will conclude the artist’s stay in residence: for example, an exhibition in a public space, a performance or a presentation. This event should be directly linked to the artist’s work while in residence.
The selection process will be overseen by a tripartite committee, composed of members from the Ferme-Asile Association and its Directors, members from the Cultural Commission of the Swiss Canton of Valais, and the City of Sion’s Cultural Affairs Delegate.
