BLAST! Talk at MoCA Pavilion
Date: September 18th, 2015, 7:00-8:00 pm
Venue: Gate 7, People’s Park, No. 231 Nanjing West Road, Shanghai
Join us Friday September 18th at MoCA pavilion for a conversation between new media artist Aaajiao – one of the Jury members of the BLAST! Open Call– and MoCA Pavilion Curator, Weiwei Wang.
The talk is part of the BLAST! project, currently hosted at MoCA Pavilion in the form of a video installation featuring the selected winners. The BLAST! project was conceived as a call for short video entries, open to anyone residing in Asia.
Aaajiao and Weiwei Wang will address themes related to digital accessibility and creativity, and how new technologies have opened up the possibility of producing content to a much broader spectrum of individuals, expanding what we might strictly consider contemporary art production.
Both the BLAST! project and the MoCA Pavilion –a glass-box space placed in the very center of the urban life and texture– share the aim of widening the boundaries of inclusion towards different audiences, while empowering at the same time the dynamics of cross-field creativity.
