Arthub Asia Introduces SEARCH: Southeast Asian Art Resource Channel

Presented by RogueArt at SH Contemporary 2011

Time: 7th to the 10th of September, 2011
Location: Shanghai Exhibition Centre, 1000 Yan An Middle Road

Southeast Asian Art Resource Channel

SEARCH is a pilot project to create an index for resources and documentation on contemporary Southeast Asian art practice and development. It is planned as a long-term, developmental project which can provide an important and useful reference for researchers, artists, curators, collectors and the general public. We hope that it will also develop into an online forum for networking and the exchange of knowledge, as well as a focus for future events and presentations.

RogueArt will introduce the SEARCH project at SH Contemporary in Shanghai this September, as a curated display of the ways in which contemporary Southeast Asian art has been categorized and represented through literature, exhibitions, archival projects, the market, the media and more.

RogueArt, at the invitation of Arthub Asia, is working with individuals and organizations from the region to present a selection of general books, monographs, periodicals, video art screenings and market surveys. A key aim of SEARCH is to introduce important intellectual projects to the regional and international audience.
