6th Gwangju Biennale 2006: Asian Art Forum

World Contemporary Art in the Eyes of Asia

Venue: Yong-bong Culture Centre, Chonnam National University, Gwangju

The 6th Gwangju Biennale 2006: Asian Art Forum takes place as a part of the Festival for A Culture Hub City of Asia, Gwangju. Thematically related to the concept of the Gwangju Biennale 2006, this forum will deal with issues on Asian discourses and aesthetics in search of a new Asian identity. Furthermore, it will discuss a possibility of global networking in Asian art and realization of a communal vision in the global culture. This forum will be an opportunity to further refine the exhibition concept of the Biennale and also to share discussions of Asian issues.
