BLAST! at ASIA NOW

At Espace Pierre Cardin in Paris, collectors, curators, institutions and art enthusiasts are invited, from 20 to 22 October 2015, with a special preview on October 19th, to attend ASIA NOW Paris Asian Art Fair, the first fair in Paris dedicated to the Asian art scene.
ASIA NOW allows for each participating gallery to present a curatorial proposition (less than 20 projects) in an environment that encourages in-depth discussions and relations with the key players of the Asian contemporary art world. This event gives the floor to artists, critics, and galleries who stand for, encourage, and promote the rich artistic scene in Asia.
With a consistent program of outstanding exhibitions, alongside engaging and relevant conversations, this event guides away from the beaten track. ASIA NOW wishes to re-ignite thoughtful exploration of the gaps, gray or unknown areas of the multifaceted reality at stake in this contemporary creation in motion.
BLAST! is an ongoing platform dedicated to the digital generation, with the aim of exploring the links between creativity and technologic accessibility. This year, Arthub – together with Art in the City and Flatmind – has launched a call for video entries opening to everyone in Asia. The works were selected by a jury of experts.
The finalists were Lei Lei + Thomas Sauvin, Mei Jian, Shanhu Fool, Alex Wang, Wang Huagang, Wang Xiaoxin, Wang Zhipeng, Zhang Zhaoying. BLAST! presented a special project developed in parallel with Art In The City Festival (from September 11 to 14, 2015 in Shanghai).
BLAST! at ASIA NOW presents an extended selection of entries that, along with the 8 finalists, will also feature 14 additional works shortlisted by the jury, they are:
