New Initiative by the University of East Anglia: World Art Forum
World Art Forum is a new initiative at the University of East Anglia, which is designed to explore the major questions and issues in the world art. It will link all the Sainsbury Centre’s associated teaching and research organizations and begin to bridge the worlds of academic research and public engagement and understanding.
Working together with invited World Art Fellows who represent different cultures and interests, World Art Forum offers the opportunity to adapt the normal teaching routine of the university and to experiment with ways of expanding and sharing the creative processes of learning. Fellows will work with students and faculty, listening in to their seminars and helping to produce visible and tangible results to show to others. Starting from 4:00 pm each day, World Art Forum at the Sainsbury Centre will be open to the public, for displays, film shows, lectures and discussions.
Davide Quadrio has been invited as a supervisor of the general project and to open up possible dialogues between the academic world and practitioners. The outcomes of this first phase, which has been incredibly successful in bringing to the table critical issues and ideas, will be ready soon.
