Blue Sun is up and running!

Arthub’s support for Blue Sun Contemporary Art Center, Ulaanbaaatar, Mongolia is now in place. Arthub contributed to solve the rental problem of this space that was about to close down for lack of funding. Blue Sun is now operational for at least another year. To support the Open Academy project, Arthub is additionally financing the foundation’s website (the website will be up in the following months).

About Blue Sun

Blue Sun Contemporary Art Centre is a non-commercial artist-run initiative founded in April 2002 and has currently twenty active members. The aim of the centre is to support alternative art practices and give support to young emerging artists. The initiative has a studio complex and a gallery space situated at Ulaanbaatar city centre.

Yearly some ten art exhibitions and occasional performance and lecture evenings are held at the gallery. Besides solo and group exhibition activities Blue Sun arranges every year an Art Camp, which concentrates on land art, performance and collaborative art production and frequently hosts also international artists.
