Call for Papers: STUDIO #10 Hidden

STUDIO is an architecture magazine about the contemporary urban condition.
It’s a seasonal independent journal edited and directed by Romolo Calabrese together with RRC studio architects. It’s based in Milan, but its reach is global.
It addresses issues involving the urban context, its strategies and its developments.

Issue #10 Open Call

In order to deliver a multidisciplinary approach and open discussions based on a comprehensive overview, every issue is conceived as a collection of writings, commentaries, reportages, photographic galleries, films and videos on urban topics.

The existing city is created by a continuous researching, experimenting and building. It is a continuous unknown or HIDDEN action of fixing and adding to the existing. A work developed in between filling the gaps, reevaluating historical center, suburbs and peri-urban fringe.

Right now these actors are directly affecting the situation, creating now the city of the future, HIDDEN behind small under-budgeted actions or governmental projects under the guidance of supranational organizations.

STUDIO #10 HIDDEN wants to investigate the effective actions of those actively regenerating–those able to change the state of the urban landscape, by reporting directly from the inside, from where this revolution is happening and reporting, describing, photographing, meeting the HIDDEN protagonist of this epochal change.
