[notes for researcher]

• Arthub’s research projects are identified and selected by the Arthub’s programming team and advisory committee. However, we welcome and encourage one-page proposals from all interested researchers in China and rest of Asia. Proposals should be in accordance with Arthub’s mission and goals.

• Arthub’s writer residency is mainly intended for China and Asia-based writers and authors, but this does not necessarily exclude authors from outside Asia. Writers participating in the residency must have a specific reason for coming to Shanghai, and either have work in preparation that has a direct link with China, and its current cultural affairs, or its relationship to rest of Asia.  Interest in visual arts, performing arts, urbanism, and interdisciplinarity encouraged. All residents will be responsible for their own travel and daily expenses. They may be asked to give guest lectures for university students, or various arts audiences, and to write observatory articles in response to Shanghai, and its cultural scene for publication purposes.
