The first “Ink Now” will bring 7 symposia with speakers including collectors, ink art specialists, scholars, artists, museum directors, curators and art practitioners, covering the topics of the ancient and the modern, the local and the foreign, along with the new and the old. From “Journey without Distance”, addressing the ink art ecosystem in a global context. Then move to a more regional perspective, presenting “The Future of Contemporary Ink in China”, and “Bokujin Group in Japan and Its Development”, searching for answers in specific cultural narratives. Followed up by the discussion on genres and creative thinking, “Ink Now Masters”, “New Literati Paintings are More Than Thirty Years! On the Founding and Opportunities of Taiwan Oolong School of Art”, and “Ink Art in the Age of Technology and Artificial Intelligence”, with a closure symposium “Traditional Ink in the Contemporary Context-Examining the Segmentation of Ink Art Development in Taiwan”, rethink the future of ink art from Taiwan’s perspective.
