After graduating from Middlesex University in Visual Communication Design in 1994, Victoria Hollows went on to work within the museum sector, mainly within Local Authority services.
After studying at Leicester (1996-7), Victoria took up the post of Curator of Art at Scarborough Museums & Gallery, where she revised the exhibition programme, refurbished the collection galleries and won a major grant award to reinterpret and display the Fine Art Collection. Now based at the Gallery of Modern Art (GoMA), Glasgow Museums, Victoria’s remit encompasses exhibitions, collection and acquisitions and education. GoMA is the most visited contemporary art gallery outside London attracting half a million visitors annually.
Victoria has recently overseen the addition of a new library service to the gallery and a new visitor orientation strategy for the building. She has also initiated a number of education and audience development strategies aimed at increasing access for excluded youth.
Victoria is also an NVQ assessor and is committed to continuing professional development.
